Cocktails

To start your party off in style, why not offer your guests a selection of cocktails on arrival. Here are just a few suggestions for some of the more popular ones. If you would like to share your own favourites, please e-mail us your suggestions.

Bucks Fizz
½ glass champagne or sparkling wine
½ glass orange juice

Pour orange juice into a glass and top up with chilled champagne or sparkling wine.


Bloody Mary
1/3 glass vodka 2/3 glass tomato juice
Juice of ½ lemon
Dash of Worcestershire sauce
Dash of Tabsco
Salt, pepper and celery salt to taste
Add all the ingredients to a tall glass with some ice and stir well.


Kir Royale
Champagne
Dash crème de cassis
Pour a dash of crème de cassis into a champagne flute and top up with chilled champagne.


Margarita
1 ½ parts tequila
½ part Cointreau or Triple Sec
1 part lime juice
Salt
Mix all ingredients together in a cocktail shaker with ice. Dip the rim of a glass in lime juice and then salt. Strain drink into glass.


Martini
2 parts gin
1 part dry vermouth
Olive

Stir gin and vermouth over ice cubes in a mixing glass. Strain into a cocktail glass and add an olive.

Pink Gin
Dash Angostura bitters
½ glass gin

Swirl the bitters around a glass, add gin and top up with water.
Pina Colada
¼ glass coconut cream
¼ glass white rum
½ glass pineapple juice
Cherry and pineapple chunks to garnish
Blend liquid ingredients with ice. Pour into a glass and garnish with a cherry and pineapple chunk on a cocktail stick.

Sea Breeze
1 part vodka
4 parts cranberry juice
1 part grapefruit juice
Pour vodka into a tall glass over ice, add juices and stir.

Tequila Sunrise
2 parts grenadine
2 parts tequila
10 parts orange juice
Blend together tequila and orange juice with ice and pour into a tall glass. Add grenadine to top of mixture and serve without stirring.
